The Assessment
Before we recommend anything, we learn your business.
Most technology projects fail because they solve the wrong problem. Our assessment starts inside your operation, finds what's actually slowing you down or costing you money, and gives you a clear plan to fix it.
Why it starts here
Problems first. Technology second.
It's easy to buy another platform or commission new software. It's much harder to know whether that's the right move.
We don't walk in with a product to sell. We sit down with you and your team, watch how work really gets done, and look at the tools you already pay for. Then we identify the specific problems that are worth solving.
Sometimes the answer is software. Often it's simpler than that.

- 04
Solve it together
Act on the roadmap with us, or take it and run. Either way, you'll know exactly where to focus first.
What you walk away with
A roadmap you can act on, not a sales pitch.
- A map of your key workflows and where time and money leak out
- A review of the software you pay for, including overlap and unused tools
- Specific problems ranked by business impact and effort to fix
- Recommended solutions: process change, automation, integration, or custom build
- Quick wins you can act on right away
Is it right for you?
Signs an assessment would pay off.
Your team re-enters the same data in multiple places.
Duplicate entry is slow, error-prone, and usually fixable.
Critical processes live in spreadsheets and inboxes.
It works until it doesn't, and only one person knows how.
You pay for software nobody fully uses.
Overlapping subscriptions quietly add up every month.
You know something's inefficient but not what to fix first.
That's exactly what the assessment is for.
Questions
Frequently asked questions.
What is a business technology assessment?
It's a structured look at how your business actually runs. We map your key workflows, review the software you pay for, and pinpoint the specific problems costing you time or money. You get a prioritized, plain-English roadmap of what to fix first.
Who is the assessment for?
Small businesses that know something is inefficient but aren't sure what to fix first. That includes trades, professional services, medical and dental practices, and light manufacturers, especially teams living in spreadsheets, re-entering the same data, or paying for software nobody fully uses.
Do you only recommend custom software?
No. Custom software is usually the last answer, not the first. Often the fix is a process change, an automation, or getting the tools you already pay for to talk to each other. We only recommend building something when the assessment shows a real gap.
Do I have to hire you to implement the recommendations?
No. You can act on the roadmap with us, or take it and run. Either way, you'll know exactly where to focus first.
Can you help my small business use AI?
Yes. We put practical AI to work on specific tasks: AI-powered workflows, document processing, automating repetitive work, and analyzing your data. The goal is fewer hours on busywork, not AI for its own sake.
What areas do you serve?
We're based in Cockeysville, Maryland and work on-site with businesses across Baltimore County and the greater Baltimore area, including Harford, Howard, and Carroll counties. We also work remotely with businesses elsewhere in Maryland and beyond.
